Le Royaume — Video Creation for Theatre

We collaborated with Compagnie L'Alakran on Le Royaume, a theatrical production directed by Oscar Gómez Mata, adapted from Lars von Trier and Niels Vørsel's cult television series Riget (The Kingdom).

Set in the mysterious corridors of a hospital, the story brings together medical rationalism, supernatural phenomena, and absurd comedy. Between scientific certainty and ghostly apparitions, the production explores the contradictions of a community caught between modern technology and the unsettling forces of the unknown.

Blending dark humor, fantasy, and theatrical experimentation, Oscar Gómez Mata transforms the original television narrative into a stage experience where reality and fiction constantly collide.

Our collaboration focused on the video creation, developed by Camille de Dieu as part of the production's visual and scenographic language, contributing to the dialogue between moving images, theatrical performance, and the atmosphere of the hospital.

Created in 2019, the production was presented at the Comédie de Genève, Théâtre de Vidy in Lausanne, and Théâtre populaire romand in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
