Récital — Video Installation for Contemporary Dance
We collaborated with choreographer and dancer Caroline de Cornière and Compagnie C2C on Récital, a contemporary dance performance exploring feminine genealogy, family memory, and the stories carried within the body.
Blending autobiography, family narratives, and visual archives, the performance traces the lives of four generations of women. Through the figures of her great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother, Caroline de Cornière explores how personal and collective histories are transmitted through gestures, memories, and physical presence.
Conceived as a collective solo, Récital brings together choreography, spoken words, music, textile art, and visual imagery to create an intimate and sensitive exploration of maternal heritage.
Our collaboration focused on the video installation, created by Camille de Dieu as part of the performance's scenographic environment. The work contributes to the dialogue between archival imagery, physical presence, and movement, accompanying the exploration of memory and transmission.
Presented at Scènes du Grütli in Geneva, Récital invites audiences into a space of empathy and reflection, where personal stories become a shared experience.
