Respire Encore! — An Immersive VR Experience

We are collaborating on Respire Encore!, an immersive virtual reality experience directed by Fabienne Giezendanner, exploring the relationship between humanity, nature, and the fragile balance of our ecosystems.

The experience follows the soul of a stillborn child who is given a new chance at life through a series of reincarnations into different animals. Traveling across ecosystems disrupted by human activity, from the Canadian Arctic to the South China Sea and eventually Europe, the audience experiences the world through the bodies and perspectives of different species.

Moving from a whale to a heron, then a deer, before finally being reborn as a human, the journey explores resilience, transformation, and our connection to the living world. Through this succession of lives, the project invites audiences to reconsider their relationship with nature and the consequences of human activity on the environment.

Our collaboration focuses on the artistic and technical development of the virtual reality experience. As part of the production team, z1 studio contributes its expertise in real-time 3D environments, immersive technologies, and technical supervision, helping translate the project's artistic vision into a coherent virtual experience.

Respire Encore! explores the potential of immersive storytelling to create a sensitive and embodied relationship with environmental issues.
